The Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) and Trent University jointly announced that the Board`s Executive Committee, on behalf of the University`s Board of Governors, has ratified a new collective agreement with TUFA this morning. The agreement was already ratified by TUFA on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, when a majority of the faculty voted in favor of the agreement. Our agreement also provided for early access to professional expense reimbursement applications 2020/2021 and deferral options for academics who were on research and scholarship leave (RSL) or who had planned an RSL from July. We will meet again with the faculty association in the fall to discuss further adjustments that may be needed to help academic staff cope with the pandemic.
